About the role
Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently seeking a talented Pastry Chef who shares our passion for food quality, customer service, community, and is ready to grow with us.
Responsibilities
- Create a diverse menu of more than 40 fresh baked pastries, pies, cakes, and muffins using honest, whole ingredients.
- Lift and handle large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies weighing up to 50 lbs daily.
- Stand, lift, and mix ingredients throughout the day.
- Be flexible and adaptable to changes in the kitchen.
- Start work early, typically between 5 AM and 8 AM, Monday through Saturday.
Requirements
- Entry-level position; open to training.
- Work Monday and Friday mornings from 5 AM to 11 AM, and Saturdays from 5 AM to 8 AM.
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of excellence in the kitchen, including recipe following and attention to detail.
- Ability to work through changes and remain focused on the task at hand.
- Early morning availability (rises before the sun).
