Assistant Nurse Manager - Stepdown (Nights)

Role Overview

This position involves coordinating patient care, personnel management, equipment maintenance, and tracking statistics.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff by hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and supporting professional development.
• Ensure departmental productivity aligns with overall goals.
• Participate in staffing, revenue, and expense budget development, and respond to operational changes.
• Oversee patient care, ensuring interventions are appropriate for age and needs, and document according to policy.
• Develop and implement collaborative care plans based on assessments and medical treatments.
• Review staff hours, approve payroll, manage staffing levels, and handle staff communication, including meetings and performance reviews.
• Ensure staff productivity and department operations meet leadership goals, conducting evaluations and recommending improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

Educational requirements include a Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

Experience ranges from 2-5 years for basic roles to 5-10 years for advanced positions, including supervisory experience.

Must hold an RN license; leadership experience is preferred.
