About the role

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a registered nurse who oversees clinical and operational activities within an assigned shift, reporting to the unit director or manager. This role supports planning, organization, and evaluation of unit services, provides managerial presence across shifts, and utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical and operational activities within an assigned shift.
• Support planning, organization, and evaluation of unit services.
• Provide managerial presence across shifts to ensure continuity of care.
• Utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or BSN in Nursing.
• Current Alaska Registered Nurse License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

Preferred experience includes:

• Recent clinical work in acute care settings.
• Charge nurse roles or other leadership experience.
• Involvement in shared governance or similar initiatives.
