About the Role
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a registered nurse responsible for overseeing clinical and operational activities within a designated shift. Reporting to the unit director/manager, the ANM supports planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating unit services while providing managerial presence across shifts.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to manage daily unit operations and clinical activities.
- Assist in planning and evaluating patient care services.
- Provide leadership and support to nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards and policies.
- Support a culture of patient-centered, whole-person care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BS or BSN).
- Current Alaska RN license required.
- American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire.
- Preferred: recent acute care experience, leadership or charge nurse roles, shared governance experience.
