About the role

This role involves leading a new multidisciplinary ICU as an Assistant Nurse Manager, supporting daily operations, clinical oversight, staff development, and maintaining high standards of patient care. The ANM will serve as a mentor, resource, and clinical leader, fostering a collaborative work environment with strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. This position is safety-sensitive, requiring alertness and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development.
• Assist in developing staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals.
• Oversee patient care planning, documentation, and implementation based on assessments and medical treatment.
• Coordinate staff scheduling, payroll, and communication; make staffing and overtime decisions.
• Conduct performance reviews, handle disciplinary actions, and promote staff productivity.
• Support department operational goals and ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
• RN licensure essential.
• 2-5 years of nursing experience with leadership experience preferred; 5-10 years experience desirable.
• Leadership, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Critical care experience is required; supervision experience is a plus.
