About the role
This position supports clinical excellence by assisting the Nurse Manager in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and service. It involves acting as a staff nurse or relief charge nurse, leading unit-based initiatives, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate staffing, training, evaluation, and discharge processes in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
- Participate in budget planning and patient experience strategies.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, quality documentation, and clinical standards are met.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and real-time feedback to staff; serve as a role model.
- Lead unit-based education on clinical quality measures and safety protocols.
- Support special projects and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
- Minimum of 3 years nursing experience.
- Current Texas RN license and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of hospital policies, clinical standards, and legal regulations.
