About the Role

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) supports clinical excellence by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care. They assist the Nurse Manager in maintaining safety, quality, and service standards, and may act as a relief charge nurse or staff nurse as needed. The role involves leadership, staff coordination, and participation in unit planning and education.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate staffing, training, evaluation, and staff discharge processes.
  • Participate in budget planning and implementation of patient experience initiatives.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, clinical documentation, and quality standards.
  • Lead unit-based education on clinical care and quality measures.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and real-time feedback to staff.
  • Engage in special projects and support a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
  • Current nursing license and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of hospital policies, safety standards, and legal nursing practices.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Computer literacy and willingness to develop advanced skills.
  • Physical stamina for walking, standing, and moving about; ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and demonstrate professionalism.
