Assistant Nurse Manager - General Medical Surgical

About the role

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) supports the Med Surg department during evening/night shifts, providing clinical and administrative leadership in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervising nursing staff and supporting daily unit operations
• Managing patient flow, staffing, and unit support
• Promoting quality patient care and satisfaction
• Leading conflict resolution and serving as a resource for team members
• Ensuring effective communication with staff, patients, and leadership
• Serve as a unit leader, support staff development, facilitate communication, assist with audits, and act as a liaison for families, ensuring high-quality patient care and team collaboration

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree (BSN preferred); graduate degree is a plus
• Minimum of two years RN clinical experience; leadership experience preferred
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state
• Completion of required certifications and competency validations
• Ability to support staff, assist with scheduling, training, and initiatives
