About the Role
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a Registered Nurse who supports clinical and operational activities within their assigned shift, reporting to the unit director or manager. They utilize the nursing process to manage patient care, oversee service delivery, and provide managerial presence across shifts. The ANM assists in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating unit services to ensure quality care and team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Support unit operations, manage clinical activities, and provide leadership during assigned shifts.
- Assist in planning and evaluating nursing services to ensure quality patient care.
- Serve as a managerial presence, fostering a collaborative and patient-focused environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BS or BSN).
- Current Alaska RN license required.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent clinical experience in acute care.
- Leadership roles (e.g., Charge Nurse).
- Shared governance experience.
