About the Role
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a Registered Nurse responsible for supporting clinical and operational activities within their assigned shift. Reporting to the unit director/manager, the ANM utilizes the nursing process to oversee patient care, staff supervision, and service evaluation. They provide managerial presence across shifts, assist in planning, organizing, and evaluating unit services, and ensure quality care delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage clinical and operational activities during assigned shifts.
- Support planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating unit services.
- Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff.
- Utilize the nursing process to ensure quality patient care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BS or BSN).
- Alaska RN license.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent acute care experience.
- Charge nurse experience.
- Leadership and shared governance involvement.
