About the Role
This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining equipment, and overseeing departmental operations in an emergency setting. The candidate will supervise staff, participate in staffing and budget planning, ensure quality patient care, and support staff performance evaluations and development.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, assign work, evaluate performance, and conduct professional development for staff.
- Assist in developing staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, ensuring adherence to departmental goals.
- Provide patient care aligned with age and developmental needs, documenting interventions appropriately.
- Develop and implement collaborative care plans based on assessment and diagnosis.
- Manage staff scheduling, payroll, and communication, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure staff productivity and support operational objectives set by leadership.
Requirements
- RN license with a Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience; 5-10 years with a Bachelor's degree.
- Experience in emergency care preferred; prior supervisory experience is optional.
- Emergency Room experience is preferred.
