Role Overview
This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining equipment, and overseeing departmental operations in an emergency department setting.
Responsibilities
- Manage staff including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and supporting professional development.
- Develop and adhere to departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, adjusting to business needs.
- Provide quality patient care tailored to age and developmental needs, documenting interventions according to policy.
- Create and implement collaborative care plans based on assessments and medical treatments.
- Oversee staff productivity, conduct performance reviews, handle disciplinary actions, and support staff scheduling and communication.
- Ensure operational goals are met, including managing staff hours, payroll, and overtime, and making staffing adjustments as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
- 2-5 years of nursing experience; 5-10 years with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Preferred: Emergency room experience and BSN.
