Role Overview

This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining equipment, and overseeing departmental operations in an emergency department setting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage staff including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and supporting professional development.
  • Develop and adhere to departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, adjusting to business needs.
  • Provide quality patient care tailored to age and developmental needs, documenting interventions according to policy.
  • Create and implement collaborative care plans based on assessments and medical treatments.
  • Oversee staff productivity, conduct performance reviews, handle disciplinary actions, and support staff scheduling and communication.
  • Ensure operational goals are met, including managing staff hours, payroll, and overtime, and making staffing adjustments as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • 2-5 years of nursing experience; 5-10 years with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Preferred: Emergency room experience and BSN.

This role requires a proactive leader capable of managing clinical teams, ensuring quality patient care, and optimizing departmental efficiency in a high-paced emergency environment.
