Assistant Nurse Manager - Emergency Room - NIGHTS

About the role

Coordinates patient care, personnel management, equipment maintenance, and statistical tracking within the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff recruitment, training, work assignments, performance evaluations, and professional development.
• Ensure departmental productivity aligns with operational goals and budget constraints.
• Develop and implement collaborative care plans tailored to patients' age and developmental needs, documenting according to policy.
• Oversee staffing levels, make nursing assignments, manage overtime, and coordinate payroll and timekeeping processes.
• Lead staff communication, conduct performance reviews, and address disciplinary actions.
• Support departmental budgeting, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• RN licensure required; BSN preferred.
• 2-5 years of nursing experience; less than 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Emergency Room experience preferred.
