About the Role
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, supporting clinical excellence, safety, and service standards. They serve as a staff nurse or relief charge nurse, assuming leadership responsibilities delegated by the Nurse Manager, and help implement unit strategies to improve patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in hiring, training, evaluation, and staff management.
- Coordinate unit-based education on quality care, compliance, and documentation.
- Ensure clinical quality through routine surveillance and regulatory readiness.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and real-time feedback to staff.
- Participate in budget planning and special projects.
- Communicate effectively and promote a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing school with a Bachelor's in Nursing.
- Minimum of 3 years nursing experience.
- Current Texas nursing license and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of hospital policies, clinical standards, and legal aspects of nursing.
