Role Overview

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) supports clinical excellence by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care. They assist the Nurse Manager in ensuring safety, quality, and service standards are met, functioning as a staff nurse or relief charge nurse when needed, and taking on leadership responsibilities as delegated.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing, training, evaluation, and unit operations in collaboration with the Nurse Manager
• Participate in budget planning and patient experience initiatives
• Ensure regulatory compliance, clinical documentation, and quality care standards
• Lead unit-based education on clinical quality and safety measures
• Mentor and coach staff, provide real-time feedback, and model professional behavior
• Engage in special projects and performance improvement activities
• Foster a collaborative environment and promote continuous improvement

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
• Current RN license and CPR certification
• National certification in a specialty area or willingness to obtain within a year
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Computer literacy and adaptability to new technology
• Leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities
• Knowledge of hospital policies, legal regulations, and safety standards
