About the Role

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) supports clinical quality, safety, and service excellence by assisting the Nurse Manager and providing leadership on the unit. They function as a staff nurse or relief charge nurse, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and fostering a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing, training, evaluations, and unit operations in collaboration with the Nurse Manager
• Implement and oversee quality initiatives, clinical documentation, and regulatory compliance
• Coach, mentor, and provide real-time feedback to staff, modeling professional behavior
• Participate in budget planning and unit-based projects to improve patient care and experience
• Facilitate staff education on clinical standards and safety measures
• Communicate effectively, build relationships, and promote teamwork

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
• Minimum of 3 years nursing experience with current licensure and CPR certification
• National specialty certification or commitment to obtain within one year
• Strong coaching, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of hospital policies, legal regulations, and safety standards
• Self-motivated, organized, adaptable, and a team player
