Assistant Housing Manager, Meadow Ridge
About the role
LSSI is hiring a full-time Assistant Housing Manager under the supervision of the Building Manager. The position involves assisting with the management of two senior apartment buildings serving older adults and/or disabled persons, adhering to the residency requirements set by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Essential Functions
- Assume responsibilities of the Manager when the Manager is absent.
- Responsible for recertification of all residents, including annual apartment inspections, meeting REAC requirements.
- Aid in rent collection, reporting functions, apartment leasing, marketing, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures established by HUD and LSSI.
- Ensure necessary reports, such as re-certifications and vacancy loss claims, are submitted accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support both locations: Meadows Ridge and Prairie Ridge (across the street from each other).
Position Qualifications
- Associates degree with one (1) to two (2) years of management/supervisory experience required, or high school diploma with three (3) to five (5) years of management/supervisory experience required.
- Must possess the Certified Occupancy Specialist Designation (COS) or be willing to obtain within two (2) years of hire.
- Minimum Leasing License or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum number of years management/supervisory experience is dependent on education level.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend and follow instructions, perform assigned tasks, and maintain appropriate work pace.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent organization, presentation, and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
