Responsibilities

  • Carries & moves tables, chairs, lighting and other items during events
  • Provides expertise to upscale events
  • Engages with high-profile clients and guests for various events
  • Interfaces with vendors, guests, and college staff
  • Maintains safety of property in conjunction with campus police
  • Enforces established rules and policies for sound, guests, and vendor conduct
  • Sets up and operates A/V equipment
  • Serves as point of contact for rental events
  • Maintains event equipment and supplies
  • Attends planning meetings as requested
  • Works varied hours including nights, holidays, and weekends

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A flexible schedule accommodating evenings (up to 1:00am), mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Driver’s license or ability to obtain prior to hire

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective teamwork and self-direction abilities
  • Experience with A/V equipment
