Assistant Coach, Men's Heavyweight Rowing
About the role
The Assistant Coach for Men’s Heavyweight Rowing assists the Head Coach in the planning and operation of the men’s crew program at Cornell University. This includes coordinating with the 1st assistant coach to plan and execute team practices and regattas, and providing input on player evaluation and other recommendations to the head coach.
Responsibilities
- Helps plan and execute team practices and regattas
- Provides input on player evaluation and other recommendations to the head coach
- Has both on- and off-campus recruiting responsibilities, identifying, encouraging, and evaluating applications and acceptances of student athletes in accordance with Ivy League, NCAA, and University policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with up to 1 years of high-level, competitive coaching experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven success and potential in coaching, recruiting, and working with student-athletes
- Highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic and a relentless recruiter
- Knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations
- A valid NYS boating and driver’s license is required to perform responsibilities
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional demeanor and demonstrated high ethical standards
