Assistant Men's Lightweight Rowing Coach
Responsibilities
Assists the Head Coach, student-athlete recruitment, student-athlete development, instruction of team practices, event management, alumni & parent relations, summer camps, operational duties, academic monitoring of student-athletes, and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 3 years’ experience coaching at the collegiate level is preferred.
- Candidates with equivalent playing experience at the collegiate and professional level will also be considered.

- The successful candidate should bring a positive and uplifting demeanor to all facets of our program and be willing to work cohesively for the betterment of our players and the program.
- The person should demonstrate the ability to pay attention to detail, enjoy problem solving, and perform duties as assigned.
- The successful candidate shall also possess excellent writing and communication skills.
- A strong work ethic, be organized, be flexible.
- Able to work with technologies required in coaching, including telemetry systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Proficiency with Google Workspace.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the United States of America, without sponsorship.
- Must be eligible to work on a military installation, including a willingness to submit to a background screen.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Work Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, or move for extended periods during practices, games, and recruiting events.
- Capacity to demonstrate physical techniques, drills, and sport-specific skills as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently for recruiting, competitions, and professional development.
- Adequate vision, hearing, and speech to communicate effectively with student-athletes, staff, and external audiences.
- Able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to a variety of weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, wind, and humidity.
- Physical stamina to manage long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the athletic season.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.
Travel
As necessary for recruiting & away competitions. This may involve overnight trips.

Pay Range
$56,000-$66,000
