About the role
The Assembly Technician position at Hartfiel Automation involves taking assembly orders from start to finish, using hands-on mechanical skills and a working knowledge of Industrial Automation to build quality products that our customers rely on. This role also includes assisting with miscellaneous warehouse duties, approximately 30% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Build products following Hartfiel Automation job folders, including control panel assembly, valve stacking, fitting installation, pulling and reading orders, labeling, and testing finished products.
- Run final tests on completed assemblies to ensure everything works correctly.
- Bring your ideas to the table and contribute to improving processes.
- Use shop tools safely and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Spend a portion of your time (~30%) supporting shipping and receiving operations, which includes receiving incoming inventory, sorting and organizing parts, pulling items for orders, and ensuring accurate accounting.
- Follow Hartfiel Automation's quality processes to consistently deliver the best results.

Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED and 6–12 months of hands-on mechanical assembly experience.
- A degree in Fluid Power or Robotics is a plus but not required.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical skills and a working knowledge of Industrial Automation.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
- Attention to detail and ability to organize tasks efficiently.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Pay
- $18 - $20 per hour based on experience.
Schedule
- Option to work either 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday or 7am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday and 7am to 11am Friday.
