About the Role
The Assembler 3 is responsible for precise hand-soldering and assembly of small electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Responsibilities
- Perform hand soldering of surface-mount, through-hole, and fine-pitch components.
- Use soldering equipment and rework tools for assembly and touch-ups.
- Follow written SOPs, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
- Inspect and verify solder quality and placement accuracy using microscopes and measuring tools.
- Perform repairs or rework solder joints and assemblies as needed.
- Accurately complete manufacturing documentation.
- Utilize computers and software to log work and review documentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment, adhering to procedures and regulations.
Requirements
- Proficiency in hand soldering small electronic components.
- Experience working with microscopes for inspection and assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, SOPs, and documentation.
- Basic knowledge of PCB components, soldering principles, and electronic assembly techniques.
- Experience with manufacturing documentation and computer tools.
- High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification is preferred.
