Assembler - Manufacturing

About the Role

We are seeking an Assembler/Tester to join our Space and Defense team onsite in Highland Heights, Ohio. In this role, you will assemble fiber optic cables and transceivers using hand tools and equipment, verify that components meet specifications, and take precise measurements for proper fit. You will conduct testing, troubleshooting, and repairing assemblies to ensure compliance with customer requirements, and follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble fiber optic cables and transceivers using hand tools and equipment
• Verify components meet specifications and take precise measurements for proper fit
• Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of assemblies to ensure compliance with customer requirements
• Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and procedures
• Inspect, test, and pack products with a focus on quality and safety
• Calibrate testing platforms
• Handle materials responsibly in an electrostatic discharge (ESD) environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (preferred), or demonstrated ability to understand instructions and perform basic math
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Ability to interpret technical documents
• Experience working in an electrostatic discharge (ESD) environment
