About the role
This role involves working on assembly lines in a factory environment, assembling products according to production orders, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. It offers potential for full-time employment and requires standing for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Pick parts from inventory and assemble products as specified
- Follow assembly instructions and review bills of materials
- Perform visual inspections of components before assembly
- Prepare sub-assemblies and ensure parts are available to meet delivery schedules
- Use hand tools, power tools, hoists, and vises to secure and assemble parts, including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Perform small electrical wiring, crimping, and testing activities to ensure quality
- Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and kaizen principles
- Assist in other factory areas as needed
Requirements
- High School diploma or technical/trade experience
- Ability to read engineered drawings and use hand tools
- Attention to detail, teamwork skills, and organizational abilities
Physical & Work Conditions
- Must be able to perform essential duties, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working with small components in a manufacturing environment
