Assembler Contractor - 1st Shift

About the role

This role involves working on assembly lines in a factory environment, assembling products according to production orders, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. It offers potential for full-time employment and requires standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Pick parts from inventory and assemble products as specified
• Follow assembly instructions and review bills of materials
• Perform visual inspections of components before assembly
• Prepare sub-assemblies and ensure parts are available to meet delivery schedules
• Use hand tools, power tools, hoists, and vises to secure and assemble parts, including lifting up to 50 lbs
• Perform small electrical wiring, crimping, and testing activities to ensure quality
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and kaizen principles
• Assist in other factory areas as needed

Requirements

• High School diploma or technical/trade experience
• Ability to read engineered drawings and use hand tools
• Attention to detail, teamwork skills, and organizational abilities

Physical & Work Conditions

• Must be able to perform essential duties, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working with small components in a manufacturing environment
