Assembler, 1st Shift

About the role

The position is available at Branch Medical Group, a subsidiary of Globus Medical Inc., which manufactures and designs medical devices for spinal and orthopedic applications.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and assemble small, machined components
• Remove loose or fixed burrs, clean sharp edges, and polish and blend machined surfaces
• Utilize hand tools including deburring knives, files, and pneumatic tools
• Inspect components using stereo-microscopes and illumination devices
• Measure and inspect medical device products according to manufacturing specifications
• Assemble sub-components into finished assemblies following established procedures
• Escalate problems/issues to the Assembly Supervisor
• Accurately complete all quality documentation and inspection sheets
• Follow company directives and comply with legal requirements
• Represent the company professionally and adhere to ethical standards

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment
• Familiarity with GMP environment
• Organizational and technical competence
• Ability to work under minimum supervision
• Experience working for a medical device manufacturer preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and advanced critical thinking/problem-solving skills

Physical Demands

• Sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required
