About the role

Architectural Staff II at Huitt-Zollars' Albuquerque office. Supports Architects, Project Managers and Designers in preparing design and construction drawings and assisting in construction administration for various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Simultaneously works on a minimum of 2-3 projects at various stages of development.
  • Prepares project designs and construction documents using BIM software and equipment.
  • Prepares various documents during the course of the project development including meeting minutes, project specifications, agency applications, etc.
  • Visits project sites under the direction of a supervisor and assists with the documentation of findings, if needed.
  • Researches materials, assemblies, or building codes for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings as directed by a supervisor.
  • Integrates information from consultants and suppliers into Revit Models for documentation.
  • Affixes contractor submittals and RFIs by logging in the documents and routing them to the appropriate party for review.
  • Attends, records, and distributes meeting minutes and assists with general project correspondence if needed.
  • Affixes graphic materials for presentation or documents.
  • Selects and prepares material finish boards/binders.
  • Some travel to construction job sites and client meetings.

Qualifications

  • Completed Master's in Architecture.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in institutional projects.
  • Must be engaged in AXP and actively pursuing licensure.
  • Ability to read redlines and modify Revit models and other documents accurately from redlines.
  • Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem solving/analysis, and technical capacity to research and apply building codes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong task-oriented time management.
  • Possesses collaborative teamwork abilities.

  • Affixes appropriate administrative and project support tasks supporting the needs of the project team and office.
  • Completes assignments on-time, within budget, and with highest level of quality.
  • Routinely proposes and produces more effective ways to accomplish assignments.

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary work that requires prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
