Architectural Staff II
About the role
Architectural Staff II at Huitt-Zollars' Albuquerque office. Supports Architects, Project Managers and Designers in preparing design and construction drawings and assisting in construction administration for various projects.
Responsibilities
- Simultaneously works on a minimum of 2-3 projects at various stages of development.
- Prepares project designs and construction documents using BIM software and equipment.
- Prepares various documents during the course of the project development including meeting minutes, project specifications, agency applications, etc.
- Visits project sites under the direction of a supervisor and assists with the documentation of findings, if needed.
- Researches materials, assemblies, or building codes for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings as directed by a supervisor.
- Integrates information from consultants and suppliers into Revit Models for documentation.
- Affixes contractor submittals and RFIs by logging in the documents and routing them to the appropriate party for review.
- Attends, records, and distributes meeting minutes and assists with general project correspondence if needed.
- Affixes graphic materials for presentation or documents.
- Selects and prepares material finish boards/binders.
- Some travel to construction job sites and client meetings.
Qualifications
- Completed Master's in Architecture.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in institutional projects.
- Must be engaged in AXP and actively pursuing licensure.
- Ability to read redlines and modify Revit models and other documents accurately from redlines.
- Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem solving/analysis, and technical capacity to research and apply building codes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong task-oriented time management.
- Possesses collaborative teamwork abilities.

Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work that requires prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
