Architectural Professional II
Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to and lead portions of the design development process, from conceptual design to detailed documentation, ensuring design intent is maintained.
- Cook with interdisciplinary teams, including engineering, construction, and consultants, to ensure seamless integration of all project elements.
- Independently produce and refine drawings, models, and construction documents, ensuring they accurately and consistently meet project requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
- Actively participate in client meetings and presentations, clearly communicating design intent and technical solutions, and project updates.
- Research materials, building systems, and design trends, integrating innovative solutions into projects.
- Review and ensure design and technical documentation accuracy, conducting quality checks, while proactively identifying and resolving design and technical challenges.
- Provide guidance and support to junior architectural staff, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
- Advocate for and integrate sustainable design practices within projects, aligning with the firm’s commitment to environmentally responsible architecture.
- Support project delivery by managing individual workstreams, aligning tasks with project milestones, and contributing to schedule and budget adherence.
- Perform general office responsibilities (library and material upkeep, assist in developing project/BIM standards, etc.).
- Participate in cross-disciplined career development.
- Engage in continuous learning opportunities, attend industry events, and participate in internal training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adapt to various roles within a project, whether in leadership or support, while consistently performing at a high level. Proactively handles tasks beyond the primary scope and adjusts to changing priorities to ensure project success, team collaboration, and firm excellence.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited program.
- Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in an architectural firm, with a strong design development and technical documentation background.
- Software Proficiency: Independently produces and manages models deliverables in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Skills: Strong design abilities, technical knowledge, attention to detail, practical communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, materials, and sustainable design practices.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead design efforts, manage project components, and mentor junior staff.
- Collaboration: Proven experience working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment, with a focus on integrated design and delivery.
Pay
Salary Range: $72,000 - $86,000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
