Architectural Designer II

About the role

Studio AR&D Architects is a Los Angeles-based architecture firm committed to creating both poetic and meaningful architectural works across various sectors including high-end residential, hotel/hospitality, interior architecture, and landscape design.

Responsibilities

• Participate in day-to-day project management
• Attend project/construction site visits
• Meet deadlines in a timely manner
• Collaborate with engineering and design consultants
• Create construction drawings for contractors and permit agencies
• Process documents at various jurisdictions to acquire necessary permits
• Compile project specifications
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all projects
• Support tasks required for the successful completion of projects, such as running errands and maintaining office organization

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years' experience at an architecture firm
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Strong interest in modern and contemporary architecture
• Ability to multitask while maintaining high levels of detail and accuracy
• Reliable transportation for job site visits upon request
• Ability to support tasks required for project completion, including document processing and permitting

Qualifications

• Strong interest in producing meaningful work
• Passion for teamwork and creativity
• A desire to continuously educate oneself and engage in hands-on design work
• The ability to bring innovative solutions to design challenges

Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Proficiency in SketchUp and Enscape
