Applied Music Sessional (AMS) – Oboe

Estimated AMS Appointments Available:

• 2 to 3
• with 24, hour-long lessons in-person per AMS appointment.

Sessional Dates:

• September 2026 to April 2027

Salary:

• $112.44/hour

Duties:

• Define lesson objectives and materials;
• provide clear guidelines on studio requirements and regulations;
• teach lessons as scheduled;
• administer and evaluate student progress through assigned repertoire and exercises;
• ensure that the Woodwind Area and Performance Division requirements are met in regard to culminating juries and recitals;
• prepare and submit final grade and detailed comments in accordance with policy and scheduled deadlines;
• maintain reasonable hours of student consultation outside scheduled class hours.
