Estimated appointments: 1 to 2 with 24, hour-long lessons in-person per appointment.

$112.44/hour
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Saxophone performance or equivalent professional experience.
- Doctoral degree preferred.
- Ongoing performing activities encompassing a wide range of orchestral, solo, and chamber repertoire.
- Demonstrated excellence teaching Jazz Saxophone at the university level.
Responsibilities
- Define lesson objectives and materials.
- Provide clear guidelines on studio requirements and regulations.
- Teach lessons as scheduled.
- Administer and evaluate student progress through assigned repertoire and exercises.
- Ensure that the Brass Area and Performance Division requirements are met in regard to culminating juries and recitals.
- Prepare and submit final grade and comments in accordance with policy and scheduled deadlines.
- Maintain reasonable hours of student consultation outside scheduled class hours.
Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12 of the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement.
