About the role
The Supervisor (SUP) I is the section manager overseeing analytical staff responsible for the administration of several critical law enforcement systems in support of the criminal record repository. Key responsibilities include leading enhancements and workflow solutions, conducting statistical analysis, and developing research for legislative priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the program coordinating with internal/external law enforcement stakeholders, DOJ technical support, and vendors to develop enhancements and workflow solutions to the systems.
- Develop and provide training and auditing to stakeholders as well as procedure development for all section workflows.
- Conduct statistical analysis of program and staff performance metrics.
- Oversee the Pre-Scan Unit operations, responsible for the day-to-day imaging and data entry of manual fingerprint card submissions, converting them to live scan transactions.
- Develop research for legislative priorities.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications include:
- A bachelor's degree in criminal justice, computer science, or a related field.
- At least three years of progressively responsible experience in criminal justice information systems, data management, or a related field.
- Experience with law enforcement databases and systems.
- Ability to develop and implement procedures and policies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Master's degree in criminal justice, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience with automated archive systems and live scan technology.
- Knowledge of criminal justice statistics and data analysis.
- Experience with legislative processes and priorities.
Skills
Essential skills include:
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with data management and analysis tools.

$7,172.00 - $8,910.00 per year
