About the role

The Imaging Coordinator at Northwest Specialty Hospital is responsible for various tasks including registration and pre-registration of patients, preparing pre-registration packets, calling patients for preregistration notices, collecting co-payments and account payments, registering patients, updating medical records, entering and retrieving information from IT systems and PACs, and presenting paperwork for clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present the paperwork for clinical procedures done in Imaging.
  • Work closely with clinical staff to provide patients with screening and procedure education.
  • Maintain PACs for STAT preliminary reports and critical findings and facilitate communication of that information.
  • Back up all incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • One year of prior clerical experience in a medical setting strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to ensure building relationships with physicians or their support staff.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 codes, and medical terminology preferred.

Qualifications

  • CPR/BLS or obtained within the first ninety days of hire.

Skills

  • Detail-oriented and customer service focused.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
