About the role

The Imaging Coordinator will be responsible for various tasks including registration and pre-registration of patients, preparing pre-registration packets, calling patients for preregistration notices, collecting co-payments and account payments, registering patients, updating medical records, entering and retrieving information from IT systems and PACS, and presenting paperwork for clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Register and pre-register patients
  • Prepare and update medical records as needed
  • Enter and retrieve information from IT systems and PACS
  • Present paperwork for clinical procedures
  • Call patients for preregistration notices
  • Collect co-payments and account payments
  • Work closely with clinical staff for screening and procedure education
  • Monitor PACs for STAT preliminary reports and critical findings
  • Facilitate communication of information to relevant parties

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • One year of prior clerical experience in a medical setting strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 codes, and medical terminology preferred

Qualifications

  • CPR/BLS or obtained within the first ninety days of hire

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Hours are flexible but typically include a mix of day and evening shifts.
