Apartment Accounts Receivable Assistant

About the role
The entry level Apartment Accounts Receivable Assistant is part of our Shared Service Center team, located in the heart of the Denver Tech Center. This position will be in-office 5 days a week to support central administrative operations.
We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to contact account holders and collect outstanding payments. You will strike a balance between professionalism and ensuring timely payments, utilizing excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as an ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Contact delinquent account holders by telephone or in writing and request payment to bring the account current.
- Prepare late notices, process legal filings, collect rental payments, review warrants of restitution, conduct evictions, and establish alternative payment plans or other processes for payment of delinquent accounts.
- Follow up with customers on established payment plans and document collection activities.
- Recommend charge-offs when necessary.
Requirements
- Computer literacy and ability to learn new systems.
- Capacity to utilize a variety of office equipment.
- Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure during challenging conversations.
- Ability to retain patience and manage stress.
- Skilled in negotiation.

Pay
Expected pay rate of $21-$23/hr base pay plus commission potentials based on collections performance, offering strong additional earning potential.
