Animal Caretaker I - Small Animal Clinic
for section headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We must not repeat job title as heading. We need to include sections only when posting has real specific content. We must preserve all substantive info, not invent or summarize away detail. Remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, application instructions. Also remove "Application Procedures & Deadline Information" etc. Also remove "Appointment Information"? Might be considered metadata but we can include as short p? The instruction: "Do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it." So we can include a short paragraph for metadata like requisition ID, job category, etc. Also "Work Schedule" we have schedule info: Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–6 p.m. with rotating weekends and holidays. So we can include a Schedule section with that. Pay: The posting says "The collective bargaining agreement sets a wage of $22.55 per hour. Final salary offered will be determined by ...". So we have pay info: $22.55 per hour. So we can include Pay section. Benefits: The posting mentions benefits: "The university offers a highly competitive benefits package designed to support your well-being, growth, and financial security." Later: "This includes Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, a Retirement Plan, Paid time Off, and Tuition waivers for employees and dependents." So we have benefits details. So include Benefits section. Responsibilities: The posting has "Duties & Responsibilities" with sub-bullets. We'll create a Responsibilities section with
- items.
Requirements/Qualifications/Skills: There's "Minimum Qualifications" and "Knowledge, Skills And Abilities". We can combine into Qualifications and Skills sections. The instruction: prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. We could have Qualifications (minimum qualifications) and Skills (knowledge, skills, abilities). Or combine into one "Qualifications" section. But we have headings list: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to use those headings only if content exists. We can decide to use: Responsibilities, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Possibly also About the role (job summary). The job summary at start: "Veterinary Teaching Hospital Job Summary To provide routine animal husbandry and environmental services support within the Veterinary Teaching Hospital." That's a brief summary. So we can have About the role section with that summary.
We must not repeat job title as heading. So About the role is fine.
We need to remove duplicated lines, boilerplate like EEO, etc. Also remove "Application Procedures & Deadline Information", "Appointment Information" maybe we can fold into short p metadata. But we can also drop it if not needed. However we need to preserve ALL substantive information. The appointment information includes: "This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 0678 - Animal Caretaker 1 position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible. The collective bargaining agreement sets a wage of $22.55 per hour. Final salary offered will be determined by a thorough assessment of available market data, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications, collective bargaining agreements, and budget constraints. This position is not eligible for any type of sponsorship for work authorization. For more information on Civil Service classifications, please visit the SUCSS web site at https://www.sucss.illinois.gov/pages/classspec/default.aspx ."
Some of that is substantive: full-time, civil service classification, expected start date, wage, not eligible for sponsorship, link to classification. We should preserve that. Could be placed in a short p under maybe About the role or a separate metadata paragraph. Since we cannot use headings for minor metadata, we can put it in a
after the About the role section. Similarly, "Requisition ID: 1038427 Job Category: Service and Food Operations Apply at: https://jobs.illinois.edu" is metadata; we can drop or fold into short p. Probably drop as not substantive? But it's still info. The instruction: fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. So we can include a short p with that. Also "Physical Demands and Working Conditions" is substantive; we need to include that somewhere. Could be part of Responsibilities or a separate section? Not in headings list. Could be included under Responsibilities as part of duties? Or we could create a separate section but not in allowed headings. The instruction says use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid other headings, but says use those for section headings. Probably we should stick to those headings only. So we need to place physical demands info somewhere else, maybe within Responsibilities or Qualifications. Could add a
under Responsibilities after the list. Similarly "Other Duties as Assigned" is part of responsibilities. We must not include boilerplate like EEO, equal opportunity, scam warning, etc. Also remove "Application Procedures & Deadline Information". Also remove "For further information about this specific position, please contact Jacob Bough at jbough@illinois.edu." That's contact info; maybe we can keep as minor metadata? It's not a heading; we could fold into short p. But it's contact info; maybe we can keep as a short p. However the instruction says remove application instructions. Contact info might be considered part of application instructions. Safer to drop. Also remove "At the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign — the state’s flagship public university..." that's boilerplate about university; could be considered not substantive to the job? It's generic marketing. Likely drop. Also remove "Champaign-Urbana Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools may be used..." etc. That's boilerplate. Also remove "This position is intended to be eligible for benefits . This includes Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, a Retirement Plan, Paid time Off, and Tuition waivers for employees and dependents." That's benefits; we already have benefits. Also remove "The University of Illinois System is an equal opportunity employer..." etc. That's EEO boilerplate; drop. Also remove "Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply..." etc. Drop. Also remove "Required Employment Notices and Posters" etc. Drop. Also remove "Please visit Required Employment Notices and Posters to view our non-discrimination statement..." Drop. Also remove "Accommodations may also be requested..." Drop. Also remove "Requisition ID: 1038427 Job Category: Service and Food Operations Apply at: https://jobs.illinois.edu" maybe keep as short p. We need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown fences. Let's structure:
