As a Clinic/Therapy Aide I or II, you will play a critical role in transforming lives and helping individuals regain their independence and quality of life. Responsibilities

• Assists with the implementation of patient treatment programs in the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech/Education Departments according to legal guidelines and under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist.
• Performs clerical duties including data entry, answering phones, and organizational/administrative projects such as filing and light typing.
• Accompanies patients to appointments and assists with activities in various departments.
• Lifts, handles, carries, and manipulates patients, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 150 pounds, using proper lifting techniques and demonstrating sufficient strength, balance, and endurance.
• Performs toilet and chair transfers without assistance for patients up to 150 pounds, utilizing approved transfer techniques (standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling). Patients over 200 pounds requiring moderate to maximum assistance are lifted/transferred by two persons.
• Demonstrates and/or assists with therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living, social skills, transfers, and handling therapeutic equipment.
• Performs documentation such as daily progress notes, treatment modules, and behavior modification documentation.
• Sets up and dismantles patient charts in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Work is full time during weekdays, Monday-Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm, performed primarily at the clinic with occasional work in the community or residential sites.

Requirements

• High School graduation or GED required; some college preferred.
• Licensing as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred but not required.
• Experience in rehabilitation or a related field is preferred.
• Adequate endurance, motor, visual, and cognitive skills to assist with therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively within a team to ensure quality patient care.

Pay

$23.00 - $25.00 an hour.
