Analyst / Senior Analyst, Reporting and Operations - Chicago

About the role

The Risk Enhanced Analytics (Risk EA) team supports Ratings Risk by performing data analysis, carrying out ad hoc project initiatives, and overseeing operations and reporting. This position involves fulfilling internal and external reporting requirements, supporting and enhancing operations, retrieving, processing, and analyzing data, and managing in-house project initiatives. The role requires strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Fulfilling internal and external reporting requirements, including regulatory inquiries
• Serving and enhancing the team’s operations, including automation initiatives
• Retrieving, processing, and analyzing data
• Managing in-house project initiatives

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field (Pre-law, English, History, Communications, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Finance)
• 0-4 years of relevant work experience
• An analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong reading comprehension
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills
• Solid project management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask
• Strong self-management
• Proficiency in Excel

Qualifications

• Familiarity with databases and querying (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, SQL)
• Programming knowledge (e.g. VBA, Python)
• Previous experience in compliance, operations, or risk management

Benefits

For New York & Chicago roles only: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between (Analyst) $80,000 and $90,000 per year / (Senior Analyst) $90,000 and $100,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
