Analyst/Senior Analyst - Enhanced Analytics - Chicago
About the role
Fitch is seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst (title will be commensurate with experience) to join the Global Corporates, Infrastructure and Project Finance (CIPF) group as a member of the CIPF Enhanced Analytics team. The CIPF Enhanced Analytics team aims to prioritize, lead and execute global non-coverage analytical initiatives in the areas of criteria, research, enhanced analytics, models and other non-operational functions to support the rating and research efforts of over 400 CIPF analysts globally.
Responsibilities
- Develop, support and maintain Excel applications used in the rating and research process
- Integrate and mine large data sets, connecting data from disparate sources (primarily Oracle, Mongo databases) to identify critical insights and pragmatic data solutions
- Collaborate with functional experts and organizational leaders in the implementation of new products and process improvements
- Produce data-driven reports and presentations for internal and external use
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical/quantitative field
- Previous experience as a data engineer or data analyst
- Python, VBA and SQL programming knowledge required
- Experience and expertise working with relational/non-relational databases and understanding of storage technologies (MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB)
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Skills
- Business Intelligence experience required, including hands-on development and analysis in Qlik Cloud.
- Experience with Agile development concepts and related tools a plus

Pay
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $95,000 and $110,000. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
