About the Role
This position supports CDPH’s mission by performing highly responsible and complex analytical and project-management work to strengthen procurement operations, promote statewide consistency, and support the establishment and implementation of the new Center for Social Behavioral Health (CSBH).
The Analyst III serves as the department’s primary technical and subject-matter specialist for procurement modernization and CSBH implementation. The incumbent independently performs the most complex, sensitive, and mission-critical analytical work to develop, implement, and sustain standardized procurement practices and contracting improvements. Responsibilities include:
- Providing authoritative consultation to programs and executives.
- Leading cross-divisional coordination.
- Interpreting and applying complex laws, policies, and statewide directives.
- Ensuring procurement readiness for CSBH initiatives.
- Serving as the primary liaison between the Program Support Division (PSD), Contracts and Purchasing (C&P), CSBH leadership, Information Technology Services Division (ITSD), Administration (Admin), Operations (Ops), and the Director’s Office (DO) to ensure consistent communication, alignment, and integration of modernization activities.
The incumbent works under the general direction of the Operational Support Services (OSS) Assistant Division Chief and receives guidance from the C&P Assistant Division Chief and the PSD Assistant Deputy Director.
This is a 12-month Limited-Term Full-Time position that may be extended or become permanent.
Pay
The salary range for this classification is $6,623.00 – $8,290.00 per month. New state employees will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range, if applicable.
This position is subject to the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025, which temporarily reduces the monthly base pay by 3% in exchange for 5 hours of paid leave credits through June 2027. The salary range shown does not reflect this reduction.
