A hybrid telework schedule may be available for this position in accordance with CDPH’s Telework Policy and Procedures. After completing probation, the position may allow a hybrid schedule of up to three days of remote work and two or more days onsite each week. Telework eligibility and permitted days are determined by the Department and may change based on operational needs. All teleworking employees must be California residents under Government Code 14200. Candidates residing outside California may be interviewed, but the selected candidate must establish and maintain primary residency in California prior to appointment.
The HRD is located in the East End Complex in downtown Sacramento.
About the Role
This position supports CDPH’s mission and strategic goals by leading, coordinating, and executing comprehensive readiness efforts for the California State Payroll System (CSPS) project. The Analyst III leads departmentwide CSPS readiness, directing high-impact project coordination, communication, training, business-process analysis, testing, and technical and reporting readiness.
The incumbent serves as CDPH’s primary project manager and liaison with the State Controller's Office (SCO), Agency Change Expert (ACE), and Department Action Readiness Team (DART), supporting change-management and stakeholder engagement throughout implementation. Responsibilities include coordinating communication, monitoring readiness, overseeing funding-tracking activities, and ensuring operational preparedness and efficiency.
The incumbent works under the general direction of the Manager II, Chief of the Employee Relations and Resource Branch (ERRB).
This position is subject to the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025, which temporarily reduces employees’ monthly base pay by 3% in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027. The salary ranges shown do not reflect this reduction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate departmentwide CSPS readiness efforts, including project coordination, communication, training, business-process analysis, testing, and technical and reporting readiness.
- Serve as CDPH’s primary project manager and liaison with SCO, ACE, and DART to support change-management and stakeholder engagement.
- Coordinate communication, monitor readiness, and oversee funding-tracking activities.
- Support operational preparedness and efficiency by ensuring system accuracy, reinforcing communication and training strategies, and collaborating with leadership and technical partners.
Pay
$6,623.00 - $8,290.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
Schedule
Permanent, full-time position. Hybrid telework schedule may be available after probation, with up to three days of remote work and two or more days onsite each week.
