ANALYST II
About the role
The Analyst II position performs a variety of position control tasks under the direction of the Chief of Position Control, Maintenance and Traffic Operations. The incumbent is a position control specialist responsible for monitoring and managing authorized and blanket positions in Maintenance and Traffic Operations for District 6.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage authorized and blanket positions in Maintenance and Traffic Operations for District 6.
- Organize and track large amounts of data using Microsoft Excel or another spreadsheet program.
- Ensure compliance with department policies and procedures.
- Respond to inquiries from employees regarding position control matters.
- Prepare reports and maintain records as needed.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications include possession of a valid driver’s license, eligibility for hire based on passing the Analyst II exam, and meeting the requirements outlined in the Classification Specification.
Qualifications
Experience in Position Control, proficiency in Microsoft Excel or another program with spreadsheets to organize and track large amounts of data, and possession of a valid driver’s license are required.
Skills
Knowledge of position control systems, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar software are desirable.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per month.
Schedule
This is a 12-month limited term position, full-time.
