About the Role

Under the general direction of the Special Agent Supervisor, the Analyst II (AN II) will perform a wide variety of complex analytical and technical duties for the Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Law Enforcement (DLE), Bureau of Investigation (BI), Recycling Fraud Team (RFT). The AN II will serve as the primary liaison for the Recycling Fraud Team (RFT) and CalRecycle, managing varied and complex technical assignments requiring multi-disciplinary skills, including knowledge of various codes, policies, and an in-depth understanding of the CalRecycle/DOJ agreement.

The AN II possesses the subject matter expertise necessary to maintain statistics, ensure RFT does not exceed spending authority for personnel, training, and equipment costs. The AN II will also organize and lead required meetings between CalRecycle and DOJ and provide the necessary information as outlined in the contract.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Recycling Fraud Team (RFT) and CalRecycle.
  • Manage complex technical assignments requiring multi-disciplinary skills, including knowledge of relevant codes and policies.
  • Maintain statistics and ensure RFT does not exceed spending authority for personnel, training, and equipment costs.
  • Organize and lead required meetings between CalRecycle and DOJ.
  • Provide necessary information as outlined in the CalRecycle/DOJ contract.

Pay

$6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Schedule

Tuesday - Friday, 4/10 work schedule (4 days on, 10 days off).

Effective July 1, 2025, state employees are subject to temporary wage reductions in exchange for Personal Leave Program (PLP) accruals. The specific rate and hours earned vary by bargaining unit.

This position is located in the Division of Law Enforcement, Bureau of Investigation, Recycle Fraud Team, Riverside Regional Office in Riverside County. The role is permanent and full-time, with in-office work requirements.
