About the role

LanguageLine Solutions is hiring interpreters to work remotely from home. We offer a competitive pay rate of $0.75 - $0.90 per minute and a supportive environment with opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally
• Render accurate translations between Akateko and English speakers
• Adapt to various industries including healthcare, insurance, finance, and law
• Ensure confidentiality and respect cultural differences
• Provide support during emotionally challenging calls
• Follow client instructions and adhere to protocol

Requirements

• Fluency in Akateko and English
• Cultural competency and understanding of regional accents
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills
• Ability to remain neutral and objective during sensitive calls
• Education or experience in language-related fields
• Work authorization to legally work in the United States
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and write English and Akateko

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Experience with LLS technology and systems
• Ability to work in a quiet, distraction-free environment
