Anuak Interpreter

About the role

LanguageLine Solutions is hiring an Anuak Interpreter to work remotely from your home. This is an independent contractor position and not eligible for employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render accurate and concise interpretations between Anuak and English speakers.
• Adapt to various industries including healthcare, insurance, finance, and law.
• Maintain professionalism and neutrality during interpreting sessions.
• Ensure confidentiality and follow client instructions.
• Provide cultural sensitivity and handle sensitive topics.
• Operate under high call volumes and stress conditions.

Requirements

• Fluency in Anuak and English with cultural competency.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to remain calm and detached during interpreting sessions.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Adaptable to LLS technology enhancements.
• At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the US.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write the requested languages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legal authorization to work in the US.
• Must be able to operate a variety of devices and software.
• Must have a quiet workspace.
• Must be able to sit for long periods and use a computer.

Pay

$0.75 - $0.90 per minute.

This is a remote position where you work from your home-office.
