Airport Operations Agent

Responsibilities

• Arranges for fueling of aircraft as required
• Communications with Airport Dispatch, Communications with Airlines Dispatch, Updating FLIFO, and communicationg with stations flight depatures/arrivals
• Prepares weight ad balance forms
• Closes out flights: files and maintains accurate flight papers
• Prepares Dispatch release forms and collects weather reports from OTIS for the crew
• Codfers special services needed on aircraft such as servicing lavatories, cabing grooming, wheelchairs for customers, and special emergency cleaning
• Operates boarding bridge, coordinates boarding and deplaning customers
• Works with Gate Agents in expediting the check-in process, collects boarding passes and/or electronic boarding data, and verifies boarding counts
• Prepares dispatch release forms and collects weather reports from the information system for Crew members and keeps all Station team members apprised of flight and weather information
• Responsible for ground security and assuring Operations follow security procedures
• Must be able to communicate information and instructions verbally and via radio equipment

Requirements

• Experience and understanding of commercial issues in aviation
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Capable of processing information in a timely manner
• Valid Drivers License
• Able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English
• Basic Computer literacy
• Previous ramp or airline experience
• Must successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certification through employment
• Must clear a FBI fingerprint background check and obtain a custom seal

Physical Requirements

• Physically fit to perform duties of the job including but not limited to standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
• Capable of repetitively lifting up to 70 pounds in confined spaces
• Physically fit to perform the duties of the job
• Willing to work outside in all types of weather conditions with exposure to loud noises

Working Hours

• Able to work variable shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations

Pay

Starting Pay: $13.00/hr
