Aircraft Electrical Technician A - H125 FAL
Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Aircraft Electrical Technician A to join the H125 Final Assembly Line team in Columbus, MS. You will perform work on assigned aircraft or parts in the avionics function.

The role is based in Columbus, MS, where Airbus produces the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army and the H125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform configurations of complete systems.
- Conduct operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems.
- Conduct bonding checks of electrical installations.
- Use a variety of standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices, and test equipment in completing work assignments.
- Perform work from blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals, and other source data to obtain dimensions, locations, alignment, tolerances, and other specification requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience assembling/installing electrical/electronic components, preferably on aircraft.
- Avionics and Cabling Class (such as those offered by East Mississippi Community College) is desirable.
- A current A&P or FCC license is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with common aviation type tooling.
- US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder, or person covered under our existing ITAR license).
Physical Requirements
- Onsite or remote: 95% onsite.
- Vision: Able to see and read computer screens, electronic equipment, documents, reports, and engineering drawings (daily).
- Hearing: Able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone, and hear sounds on the production floor, including safety warnings or alarms (daily).
- Speaking: Able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information, and participate in communications (daily).
- Equipment Operation: Able to operate personal computers, telephones, copiers, fax machines, and related office equipment, as well as some production tools such as hydraulic lifts (daily).
- Carrying: Able to carry documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30 lbs/14 kg (daily).
- Lifting: Able to lift documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30 lbs/14 kg (daily).
- Pushing/Pulling: Able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools (daily).
- Sitting: Able to sit for long periods in meetings or while working on a computer (annually).
- Squatting/Kneeling: Able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving (daily).
- Standing: Able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor (daily).
- Travel: Able to travel independently and at short notice.
- Walking: Able to walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces (daily).
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required: Safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and/or protective gloves as required by site and/or customer site (daily). Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits; appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required.
