About the role
The Boeing Company is seeking a highly motivated Agile - Release Train Engineer (RTE) (Experienced or Senior) to join a large Air Dominance Division Mission Systems Software team using Agile in Berkeley, MO. This position will lead and/or support an agile organization to implement new software capabilities within the platform as defined by a capability roadmap. The organization is responsible for the full lifecycle of software development including requirements, design, implementation, and testing for mission systems.
Responsibilities
- Coach leaders and teams in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
- Drive relentless improvement and assess the agility level of the organization to help them improve
- Foster preparation of Vision, Objectives, and Program Backlogs
- Ensure backlogs are managed in accordance with defined standards
- Track the execution of features and capabilities
- Facilitate roadmap development
- Support inter- and intra-team dependency mapping
- Prepare for and facilitate quarterly planning and execution of the plan
- Encourage cross-functional collaboration across the organization
- Work with Product Management, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution alignment
- Help manage risks and dependencies
- Escalate and track impediments
- Ensure standards are established and followed
- Monitor and improve metrics to track and improve the flow of value
- Facilitate workshops as needed
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
- Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ years of experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies
- 2+ years of experience with Agile delivery and metrics
- 1+ years of experience in a leadership role
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Agile/SAFe training and/or certification, such as:
- SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
- SAFe Release Train Engineer Certification (RTE)
- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
- Project Management Institute- Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process and pass a drug screening test. A technical assessment is required as part of the selection process.

Pay
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
- Level 3 (Experienced): $118,150 - $159,850
- Level 4 (Senior): $147,900 - $200,100
Schedule
This position is for 1st shift.
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility and requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). A final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required. This position also requires ability to obtain program access. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
