About the role

Boeing is seeking a highly motivated Agile - Release Train Engineer (RTE) (Experienced or Senior) to join a large Air Dominance Division Mission Systems Software team using Agile in Berkeley, MO. This position will lead and/or support an agile organization to implement new software capabilities within the platform as defined by a capability roadmap. The organization is responsible for the full lifecycle of software development including requirements, design, implementation, and testing for mission systems.

The agile leader will be a servant leader and coach who oversees and optimizes the flow of value on the program using various tools including Jira and Confluence.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite at one of the listed location options.

Responsibilities

• Coach leaders and teams in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
• Drive relentless improvement and assess the agility level of the organization to help them improve
• Foster preparation of Vision, Objectives, and Program Backlogs
• Ensure backlogs are managed in accordance with defined standards
• Track the execution of features and capabilities
• Facilitate roadmap development
• Support inter- and intra-team dependency mapping
• Prepare for and facilitate quarterly planning and execution of the plan
• Encourage cross-functional collaboration across the organization
• Work with Product Management, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
• Help manage risks and dependencies
• Escalate and track impediments
• Ensure standards are established and followed
• Monitor and improve metrics to track and improve the flow of value
• Facilitate workshops as needed

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
• Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
• 5+ years of experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies
• 1+ year of experience in a leadership role

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher
• 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Level 4)
• Agile/SAFe training and/or certification, such as:
  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer Certification (RTE)
  • SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
  • Project Management Institute - Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
• Critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

• Level 3 (Experienced): $85,000 - $115,000
• Level 4 (Senior): $102,000 - $138,000
