About the role
The Boeing Company is seeking a highly motivated Agile - Release Train Engineer (RTE) (Experienced and Senior) to join a large Air Dominance Division Mission Systems Software team using Agile in Berkeley, MO. This position will lead and/or support an agile organization to implement new software capabilities within the platform as defined by a capability roadmap. The organization is responsible for the full lifecycle of software development including requirements, design, implementation, and testing for mission systems.
The agile leader will be a servant leader and coach who oversees and optimizes the flow of value on the program using various tools including Jira and Confluence.
Responsibilities
- Coach leaders and teams in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
- Drive relentless improvement and assess the agility level of the organization to help them improve
- Foster preparation of Vision, Objectives, and Program Backlogs
- Ensure backlogs are managed in accordance with defined standards
- Track the execution of features and capabilities
- Facilitate roadmap development
- Support inter- and intra-team dependency mapping
- Prepare for and facilitate quarterly planning and execution of the plan
- Encourage cross-functional collaboration across the organization
- Work with Product Management, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
- Help manage risks and dependencies
- Escalate and track impediments
- Ensure standards are established and followed
- Monitor and improve metrics to track and improve the flow of value
- Facilitate workshops as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
- 2+ years of experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies
- 2+ years of experience with Agile delivery and metrics
- 1+ years of experience in a leadership role
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3: Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience
- Level 4: Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 9+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 13+ years of directly related work experience OR 17+ years of related, relevant experience
- Agile/SAFe training and/or certification, such as:
- SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
- SAFe Release Train Engineer Certification (RTE)
- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
- Project Management Institute- Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
- Summary Pay Range for Experienced Level (Level 3): $118,150 - $159,850
- Summary Pay Range for Senior Level (Level 4): $147,900 - $200,100
