About the role

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a highly motivated Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE) (Experienced or Senior) to become part of a large Air Dominance Division Mission Systems Software team using Agile in Berkeley, MO.

Responsibilities

  • Coaches’ leaders and teams in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
  • Drives relentless improvement and assess the agility level of the organization and help them improve
  • Fosters preparation of Vision, Objectives and Program Backlogs
  • Ensures backlogs are managed in accordance with defined standards
  • Tracks the execution of features and capabilities
  • Facilitates roadmap development
  • Supports inter- and intra-team dependency mapping
  • Prepares for and facilitates quarterly planning and execution of the plan
  • Encourages cross-functional collaboration across the organization
  • Works with Product Management, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
  • Help manage risks and dependencies
  • Escalates and tracks impediments
  • Ensures standards are established and followed
  • Maintains and improves metrics to track and improve the flow of value

Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start may be required)
  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • 5+ years of experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies
  • 1+ year of experience in a leadership role

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher
  • Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Able to obtain SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), SAFe Release Train Engineer Certification (RTE), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or PMI-ACP certifications
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
